Naturopathic medicine is a form of primary health care that uses predominantly natural and traditional remedies.

In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, naturopathic physicians support their clients' health with such treatments as botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation, and traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. Treatments are chosen based on the individual client and their physiological, psychological, social, spiritual, environmental, and lifestyle conditions.

The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and to go deep to address the underlying cause of disease. Naturopathic physicians complete four years of post-graduate education and practical training in everything from obstetrics to physiology to death and dying. Each naturopath brings a unique approach and specialties, and many work in close collaboration with the mainstream medical system. While some naturopaths manage a for-profit dispensary and bill only on an hourly basis, there is no dispensary at Klinik (given many excellent local options), and our naturopath offers the option of a cost-effective membership model.
